OUT OF HOURS
If you have a serious or urgent problem requiring care before the surgery reopens it will be provided by NHS 24. If a visit or attendance at an out of hours centre is required this will be carried out by GPs at Glenrothes Hospital, Lodge Rise, Glenrothes KY7 5TG. To contact NHS 24, dial 111 or telephone the usual surgery telephone number. An answering machine message will inform you how to contact NHS 24.
Please allow plenty of time in advance of these closed dates for prescriptions and be aware that although completed by the Surgery may take longer to dispense from your local Pharmacist.

Carol is our Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Carol supports and works with our GP's. She is an independent prescriber and can also refer patients if required. Carol can see patients with most health concerns and also conducts home visits.
North Glen Medical Practice have 5 Practice Nurses and 2 Health Care Assistants. Four of our nurses are Nurse Practitioners, they are; Aileen, Alison, Elaine and Juliet who are all nurse prescribers and we have Liz our Practice Nurse.
Our Nurses provide a comprehensive range of services by appointment including, minor illness, injections, smear tests and wound care dressings. In addition, our nursing team have training in chronic disease management such as; asthma and diabetes. Our Nurses also provide our triage service for same day appointments.
North Glen Medical Practice is proud to work in conjunction with the Scottish Ambulance Service providing additional patient care through their Specialist Paramedic Practitioners. Specialist Paramedic Practitioners work within the Practice and also conduct home visits to our patients. Paramedic Practitioners can assist with most health concerns including minor ailments and musculoskeletal issues.
Colleen and Caroline are our Healthcare Assistants who work alongside our nursing team. Our Healthcare Assistants support our nursing team by taking blood samples, measuring blood pressure, administering some vaccinations, ear syringing, removal of stitches, diabetic foot checks and wound dressings, along with providing assistance in other clinics.
Mrs. Pamela Godfrey is our Practice Manager and is responsible for the day to day running and administration of the practice. She is available to help you with any non-clinical aspects of your care and will be happy to hear your views and suggestions about the services offered by the practice.

Christina is our Office Manager who will deal with any enquiries regarding administration or non-medical matters. Katie is our trainee Office Manager who like Christina, is happy to deal with any similiar enquiries.
Gail, Hazel, Cristian, Emma, Dionne, Helen and Mairi are our medical receptionists who will deal with any enquiries you may have.
Hazel is our medical secretary
All matters will always be dealt with in a confidential manner.
The District Nurses can be contacted on 01592-743302. They will treat patients in the community who are housebound.
Our Health Visitors can be contacted on 01592-745931. They primarily deal with families and children under 5yrs.
