Minor Ailment Service

The Minor Ailment Service is an NHS service for children, people aged 60 or over, patients who hold a medical exemption certificate or people on certain qualifying benefits.

When you are registered for the Minor Ailment Service, your pharmacist can provide you medicine for a minor illness or complaint, if they think you need it.  If you are eligible, you will not require to pay for it.

Your local pharmacist can also provide confidential advice and treatment if needed for a number of common illnesses without the need for an appointment with your G.P. Such as;

ATHLETES FOOT

STYS AND MINOR EYE INFECTIONS

HEAD LICE

EARACHE

PAIN, INCLUDING HEADACHE, BACKACHE AND PERIOD PAIN
